The second quarter of 2022 saw some interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 pirate-themed games on iOS in Europe. Here’s a closer look at the data, courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $30.6K in the first week of April and ending the quarter with $23.8K in the final week of June. Weekly downloads showed a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.1K in early June. The game maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, with a slight decline from 2.9K in late March to 2.5K by the end of June.

Pirate Kings™ had a steady revenue stream throughout Q2, averaging around $15K to $18K per week. Downloads saw a gradual decrease, starting from 932 in early April and dropping to 425 by the end of June. The game’s active user base also saw a decline, from approximately 3.8K in late March to 2.9K by the end of June.

Bounty Pirates showed strong early performance with revenue jumping from $23.7K in late March to $80.5K in the first week of April. Downloads also saw a significant spike, rising from 12.3K to 20.5K during the same period.

Kingdom of Pirates saw an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $7.2K in late April. However, downloads remained relatively low throughout the quarter, with a peak of 158 in late March and a low of 50 by the end of June.

Age of Sail: Navy & Pirates experienced varied revenue, peaking at $6K in mid-June. Downloads were minimal but saw a slight increase from 39 in late March to 85 in late May.
